Manchester United have a lot of social media heavy hitters in their dressing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard renowned for their online presence.
The trio have millions of followers between them but one team-mate – Nemanja Matic – has been a little late to the Instagram party.
The 29-year-old, who made the move to Old Trafford from Chelsea in the summer, only joined the photo-sharing app on Tuesday.
And Ibrahimovic has attempted to do his bit to boost the Serbian’s following with a joke video.
“Hi everybody, I want to present a new person on Instagram,” the striker said.
“Please make sure you follow him and make him happy or else I will come after you… all of you!”
Ibrahimovic then turned the camera to a dejected Matic and claimed he would not be happy until he had boosted his followers.
“You see? He is not happy enough so make sure you follow him,” he added.
Since starting his account on Tuesday, Matic has amassed over 470,000 followers – not bad considering he has only made three posts.
The Serbia international kicked things off with a snap of himself and Juan Mata in training with the caption: “Hello supporters, this is my first post on Instagram.”
It was well received, garnering almost 270,00 likes and he has since followed it up with a welcome message to Alexis Sanchez and picture with heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua.
But he’s got a long way to go if he is to rival Ibrahimovic who has almost 30 million followers.
