Chelsea have been in poor form, losing heavily to Bournemouth and Watford in recent weeks.
Antonio Conte’s job is said to be on the line and a lot is resting on tonight’s clash with West Brom at Stamford Bridge.
Olivier Giroud is in the starting XI for the first time since joining the club from rivals Arsenal last month.
And the France international has revealed Conte has given him special instructions to help him make an impact on his home debut and get the Blues back to winning ways.
When asked what he would bring to the table against the Baggies, the experienced striker told Sky Sports: “Just you know my qualities.
“The coach told me, he explained to me, what he expected of me.
“We worked a lot in training tactically. So I’m ready.
“I’m finished with my hamstring injury and I’m fresh and I really want to play.
And Giroud admitted he is keen to make an impact with his new club and revealed he opted for a move to Stamford Bridge for a new challenge.
“Obviously it’s always exciting when you sign for a new team,” he added.
“I’m looking forward to playing tonight and you know it’s a new challenge so I’m very excited.
“Yeah it’s true, I needed a new challenge. Chelsea gave me this opportunity and I really want to make my debut tonight. I’m looking forward to it.”
