Barcelona sold Neymar to PSG in the summer but already talk is rife he could be set for a sensational move to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Los Blancos are determined to find a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who is supposedly looking at houses in England ahead of a potential return to the Premier League.
Neymar will have a chance to show Real what he is capable of when the La Liga giants face PSG in the Champions League next month.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim the Brazil international has been talking with Barcelona’s Messi about PSG’s opponents.
It is said he has told Messi he will do his utmost to dump Zinedine Zidane’s side out of the competition.
Zidane is under pressure at the Bernabeu with a European exit likely to see the axe fall on his head.
And even though Neymar may be moving to the club at the end of the season, he is determined to cause them misery before a potential switch.
Real have all but accepted defeat in the La Liga title race, with the club 14 points behind Barcelona.
Don Balon add, however, that any move for Neymar to Real Madrid may be blocked by Messi.
The Argentina international will supposedly do everything in his power to ensure his former team-mate does not end up at the Bernabeu.
Whether or not he succeeds, however, remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, speaking in November, Neymar’s father hinted his son could move to Real further down the line.
“Things can change a lot,” he said.
“Right now, there is no thought and answering this is just discussing an impossibility.
“I can’t talk about negotiations in five or six years.
“Neymar has a lengthy contract at PSG and has just arrived.
“We’ve been here for three months and there is already talk of an exit. It is difficult to talk about these things.”
