Barcelona lost Neymar to PSG back in the summer but the Brazilian remains in close contact with Messi.
The duo have both been in sensational form this season, living up their billing as two of the best players in world football.
Ronaldo at Real Madrid, meanwhile, has toiled with the 33-year-old struggling to scale his usual lofty heights.
And Spanish website Don Balon claim Lionel Messi and Neymar have been exchanging messages about Ronaldo and Real Madrid.
It is said the duo have been particularly keen to discuss PSG’s upcoming Champions League tie with Real.
PSG will go into the game as favourites given Los Blancos’ erratic campaign.
Neymar himself may use the game as a chance to show his worth to Real, who are understood to be keen on signing him at the end of the season.
Victory for PSG will have huge consequences at the Bernabeu with Zinedine Zidane likely to be sacked.
And Don Balon say Messi and Neymar feel a win for PSG will spell bad news for Ronaldo in his quest to land individual accolades.
The Portugal international won the Ballon d’Or back in December despite experiencing a turbulent season.
Many feel Ronaldo was given the prize because of the fact Real won La Liga and the Champions League last term.
Neymar and Messi both think that, if Real lose to PSG, Ronaldo will not be in contention for the Ballon d’Or later in the year.
And the duo players also supposedly hope to go up against each other in May’s Champions League final.
Messi is aiming to win the competition for a fifth time.
Neymar, meanwhile, wants to win it for the second, with the first triumph coming back in 2015.
